Adebayo Adelabu rallies Oyo APC to win Local government election

On Sunday, the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu declared that the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State would be participating in the forthcoming local government election of the state.

Adelabu, added that the APC would win with or without the use of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

He revealed this at the state party secretariat, Oke-Ado in Ibadan, the state capital, shortly after meeting with the party leaders, state executive council members, and the chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the council poll.

Wakadaily gathered that the state Independent Electoral Commission had been fixed on April 27, 2024, for the local government elections in the state.

The minister said, “We have agreed to go for the election. We will not abandon or boycott the election. BVAS or not, the APC will win local government elections in this state. This is the day of social media, no one can do any hanky-panky. It must be a transparent and credible election. People are out there, waiting for the APC to come out and we shall win.

“We are here to wish them the compliments of the season and also wish them a successful completion of the Ramadan fast. We also used the opportunity to meet the party executive members and party leaders across the state and our candidates for the Chairmanship and councillors positions for the coming local government elections in the state.

“We discussed generally about progress of the party, now that the party has come together as one again. The party is back and we have what it takes to win any election in the state today.”

Adelabu, therefore, pleaded with  the angered party members to come back to the fold of the party to form a formidable team so as to achieve victory during the coming election.
