Career
Salami grew up in Lagos State and received his education there. He started his acting career in 1964 with a group called Young Concert Party, later becoming Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group. After the passing of their leader, Salami took over and gained fame. He appeared in the first Yoruba film, “Ajani Ogun,” and also featured in “Kadara” by Adeyemi Afolayan. He gained popularity as Oga Bello in the comedy series “Comedy half-hour.”
