Adebayo Salami completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos State.

Career

Salami grew up in Lagos State and received his education there. He started his acting career in 1964 with a group called Young Concert Party, later becoming Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group. After the passing of their leader, Salami took over and gained fame. He appeared in the first Yoruba film, “Ajani Ogun,” and also featured in “Kadara” by Adeyemi Afolayan. He gained popularity as Oga Bello in the comedy series “Comedy half-hour.”

Adebayo Salami got married to two wives (Omotayo  Sanusi, Alhaja Ejide) and  have a total of eighteen children, nine sons named Hammed Akeem, Femi, Kunle Adebayo, Layiwola, Ridwan, Sadiq, Tope, and Wale, as well as nine daughters named Tobi, Titi, Olushola Kikelomo, Omolara Agboola, Olamide Adebayo Amina, Bukola Suliat Ibrahim, Ifeoluwa Arike, Medinat Olajogun, and Olaide.
