Due to increased demand, Nigerian airline Air Peace has announced that it will be adding more capacity to its Lagos-London route.
This was made public on Wednesday through the airline’s official Facebook page.
Travelers interested in using Air Peace to fly to London now have more options to select from since there are more seats available.
The statement read, “Due to overwhelming demand and interest in our London route, we have decided to increase the capacity on the route. This means that more seats are now available.
“Air Peace would like to thank the Nigerian population, both in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom, for their support. We do not take it for granted, and we will be doing our best to continue to make the whole country proud.”
The airline operated a Boeing 777 with 274 seats on its first journey to London on Saturday, carrying 260 passengers. Lagos will provide daily service to the route.
Foreign airlines who had previously enjoyed exclusivity on the route have been forced to reevaluate their pricing strategy as a result of the move, which has upset market dynamics.
Allen Onyema, the CEO of Air Peace, disclosed that his company’s tickets for flights from Lagos to London were completely sold out ahead of September.
In a Monday interview with Arise TV, Onyema said the airline already had more than thirty planes and that it has orders for thirty more.
He emphasized that Air Peace wants to have more than 60 aircraft in its assets.
