A female security guard, identified as Gabriella Hutchinson, has reportedly lost her life following the injuries she sustained from the stampede at the music concert hosted by singer Asake in 02 Academy, Brixton, United Kingdom.
The victim, 23, was working as a contracted security provider at the concert, died on Monday at the hospital four days after the incident on Thursday night, Daily Mail report.
This comes after Rebecca Ikumelo, a 33-year-old mother of two, died from her injuries in hospital on Saturday.
The Metropolitan Police disclosed two other women, aged 21 and 23, remain in critical condition.
Unfortunately, Hutchinson became the second victim who lost her life in the incident.
Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove, policing commander for Lambeth and Southwark, said, “It is devastating news that a second person has lost their life following the events on Thursday.
“I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.”
Wakadaily reported that Asake was forced to cancel his sold-out show at O2 Academy Brixton midway through after crowds of people, many of whom did not have tickets, attempted to gain access.
Four people were critically injured and four others were hospitalised following the crush at the concert venue in south London.
