Davido, a highly acclaimed Afrobeats artist, has sparked a response by generously paying off the student loan of one of his fans during his concert.

During a packed show at Madison Square Garden on April 17th, Davido invited a female fan on stage who expressed her struggle to repay a $50,000 student loan. In a kind gesture, Davido offered to assist her by clearing her loan.

While some people commended him for his kind nature, others alleged that the singer’s actions were merely a tactic to distract from his recent controversy.

Davido’s recent kind act is not surprising, as he has a history of generosity. Two years ago, he awarded a scholarship to a Ghanaian student who had excelled in his exams but couldn’t afford to go to university.

Davido launched a search for him and eventually granted him a full scholarship to Adeleke University, including accommodation and allowance.

In February, Davido announced his annual donation to orphanages, pledging to donate 300 million to these homes through his foundation. This is his way of contributing to the nation.

Continuing his charitable acts, earlier this year, Davido gifted a die-hard fan who is a tricycle driver with 1 million naira.

The fan had shown his love for the singer by decorating his tricycle with Davido’s stickers, and Davido, upon seeing the video, decided to reward him.

Similarly, Davido also gave 2 million naira to a female Tiktoker who had entertained him.

The Tiktoker had shared her lifestyle with her fans, including her creative substitute for fried rice and chicken. This video touched Davido, who, through blogger Tunde Ednut, gifted her with the generous amount.
