In the general elections of 2027, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the immediate past deputy senate president, projected that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win back the governorship of Delta State.

This was disclosed by Omo-Agege on Saturday during a speech to party supporters in Ughelli, Delta State’s Ughelli south local government area, who had come to greet him after he resigned from his post as deputy senate president.

He gave his word that the party’s defeat to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 gubernatorial election will not happen again.

“We have lost in 2023 general election but l am sure APC will take over Delta state governorship position come 2027,” he said.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege urged the people of the state to persevere and support the party in upcoming elections at all levels, thanking them for their support throughout his 2023 campaign for the office.

He said that the people should be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration and that Nigerians will soon enjoy the much-desired benefits of democracy.

He added that the APC was able to elect two senators from the Delta Central and Delta South senatorial districts thanks to the efforts of the populace and asked them to keep supporting the party at the local, state, and federal levels in order to win in all possible contexts.

Using the occasion, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege expressed his condolences to the APC members who lost their lives while fighting in the general elections of 2023.
