The presidential standard bearer of the African Action Congress (AAC), and the founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has revealed that Atiku Abubakar once sent him document to counter his former boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He said the documents were sent to him through Garba Shehu, the current Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari who was a Special Assistant on Media to Atiku.
Sowore disclosed this while speaking on Arise Television on Monday, reacting to Atiku’s allegations levelled against him, recall that the former VP said on Friday that the AAC presidential candidate lives outside Nigeria and comes only after four years to contest the election.
Sowore in response to that said, “He mixed up a number of things. I think he is losing memory, otherwise, he would have known, that I have never, at any point, left the issues concerning Nigeria. In fact, for him and others, I was a source of news while they were in office – that means in the government.
“In fact, when Garba Shehu used to work with him as SA, they used to send me documents from the inside. I’m revealing it from the first time so as to counter Obasanjo in those days when they were in each other’s neck.”
The presidential candidate of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said in response to the unveiling of the newly commercialized Nigerian National Petroleum Commission Limited (NNPC Limited), tweeted that he had in 2018 made public his plans to reform the NNPC, but the APC government denigrated his plan.
Reacting to the tweet, Sowore criticized the former Vice President for complaining over the nation’s blackout, adding that he should not pretend that he cares about the National grid.”
