Axxela gets ISO recertification

The successful recertification of its integrated management system has been announced by Axxela Limited, a natural gas distribution and power production company.

According to the report, the IMS comprised ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 for Portfolio Development of Gas and Power Projects by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria.

Kehinde Alabi, the Axxela’s Chief Operating Officer, stressed that following its IMS recertification, the organization reaffirmed its adherence to global best standards in managing its operations across the entire value chain by integrating quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety into a unified system.

Alabi declared, “Obtaining a recertification of our integrated management system following a comprehensive audit carried out by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria is a testament to our relentless pursuit of operational excellence and commitment to building a world-class organisation, setting the pace for others within our sector.”

Also speaking, John Okoro, the Head of Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality at Axxela, stated that the successful outcome of the recertification audit is a further affirmation of the company’s executive leadership dedication to operational integrity, proactive risk mitigation and compliance approach.

Okoro revealed that the IMS recertification process involved SON auditors’ comprehensive audit of Axxela’s management systems, policies, procedures, and practices, adding that it was also witnessed by the International Accreditation Service.
