Big Brother Housemate Ilebaye emerging winner of the All Star has stirred lots of reaction and reality star Kachi Ucheagwu has dropped his two cents.
The All Star edition had top six final contenders, including Mercy, Ilebaye, Cross, Pere, Adekunle, and Cee C, and they battled fiercely for the ultimate prize, and in the end, Ilebaye emerged the winner of the grand prize of N 120 million. Reality Star Kachi Ucheagwu has however come out to hint at the fact that her winning was underserving.
Recall Ilebaye’s journey from the beginning of the show as an underdog, having been bullied by most of the housemates for being the youngest on the show and with little experience from her previous season as she was evicted a few weeks into the show and never made it to the finals in the Level-Up season.
Many viewers of the show picked interest in her after the highlight of IK trashing her clothes on the bathroom floor unprovoked and gained massive supporters since then.
However, Ex Ultimate Love season 1 housemate, Kachi has taken to his social media to express his dissatisfaction with the voter’s choice for a winner.
Criticizing Nigerians he stated that Ilebaye’s win may be the reflection of the issue in Nigeria, where pity and sympathy sometimes win over merit.
In his words, “As Nigeria celebrates her Independence, The winner of #BBNaijaAlIStar may be a true reflection of the current state of Nigeria where Pity and Sympathy prevail against meritocracy
Is she deserving of it, only time will tell”
“Ebuka: what’s next for you after the show? llebaye: Build my empire Ebuka: what’s the empire?
Ilebaye: *screams* “GenZ baddie”
A deserving winner indeed”.
