Big Brother All Stars ex-housemate Seyi Awolowo, popularly known as Seyi takes a turn few days after apologizing for his derogatory comments towards women.
During a recent interview, the reality star who had just apologized for his statement insisted that his words had been “taken out of context” and he also questioned people perspective on the matter.
Recall that reality TV star had come under fire by viewers of the Big Brother Naija show and social media users over his misogyny statement.
And had apologized in while still on the show to female housemates even though he didn’t tell them what the statement he made was.
After his eviction on Sunday, Seyi had also apologized to the general public and even broke down in tears while at it.
Some social media users had reacted to the video of his apology saying he wasn’t honest with his apology.
Well they are not far from the truth as he has now insisted in a new interview that his words were taken out of context.
Although he acknowledged the need to apologize for any negative impact his statements may have had, he also stated that the context of his words had been misunderstood. He went further to explain that he felt strongly about addressing the behavior of certain individuals he had referred to as “badly behaved women.”
In his words, “I think I’m old school and I was raised a certain way. I don’t think I should compromise it for anything in the world, especially trying to make excuses for people.”
This proves that Seyi still stands on his initial statement, though he regrets any offense his words has caused.
