Nigerian comedian, Debo Adedayo famously known as Mr Macaroni has called on Nigerian youths to remember the pains and sadness they went through during the EndSARS protest in October 2020, before they cast their votes for the 2023 general elections.
The EndSARS peaceful protests across the country degenerated into the killing of innocent people and destruction of public infrastructures when military personnel was at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos and shot protesters on October 20, 2020.
The global human rights advocates group, Amnesty International, earlier disclosed that some of the protesters arrested are still in custody since 2020, saying the victims were labelled as armed robbers and have since been denied access to justice.
Reacting to the sad incident Mr Macaroni took to his Twitter account to call on Nigerian youths to vote wisely for the forthcoming presidential elections.
Mr Macaroni wrote, “Dear Nigerian Youth, when that time comes to cast your vote, remember the pain and sadness from October 2020, remember the lack of an enabling environment for you to succeed as a citizen of Nigeria. By then, No one will need to tell you who to vote for!!! Vote Wisely!
“Nigerians have suffered enough!! We have a chance to change this country for good by voting in competent and credible leaders!! The time is now!! May our labour never be in vain.”
