Two Nigerian superstars Burna Boy and Ayra Starr appear on Barack Obama’s 2023 Summer playlist.
The former president of the United States, has every year since 2015, compiles a list of his favorite songs around the world.
The 2023 Summer playlist comprises of 41 songs and as always, Nigerian artists were included on the list.
The 44th American president revealed his favorite songs for Summer vis his Twitter page on Friday.
Ayra Starr made it to the list with her hit song, “Stability”, while Burna Boy made it to the list with his song “Sitting On Top Of The World” remix featuring US-based British rapper, 21, Savage.
Barack Obama wrote, “Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer – a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed”.
Recall that in 2019, Burna Boy’s “Anybody” and Rema’s “Iron Man” were featured in the list
While In 2020, Wizkid’s award-winning “Essence” featuring Tems made the list of Barack Obama’s favourites.
