Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy has lashed out at foreign online media over a viral photo of him without a beard.
In 2021, the singer, whose identification is his beards, broke the internet with a photo of him without beards travel round.Now the photo has reappear and some foreign media platforms are making story on it.
Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to blast those who build upon such blogs, describing them as weirdos. He stated how he shaved his beards in 2021.
However, it gives him happiness to know that with all the records he has been setting and breaking, they only care about who he is sleeping with and his shaved beards.
Presenting an apology to Nigerian media, he said that he thought Nigerian blogs’ stupidity was unique, and now he knows they learnt it from the West.
He said, “To all you weirdos who depend on @theshaderoom @theshadeborough and other weirdos’ blogs for your daily news. I shaved my beard in 2021 not now. But it’s good to know that for all the history I’ve been making and records I’ve been setting and breaking. You PARASITES only care about who I might have fucked, who I’m fùcking, and stupīd shit like “Burna Boy shaved his beard”. I gotta apologize to Nigerian blogs now cuz I thought their stupidity was unique. I didn’t know they learned all they know from the West”.
Two years ago, Burna Boy posted his new look after shaving off his beard on social media. He noted that shaving his beard made him look older.
The singer’s fresh appearance sparked various responses and criticism from netizens. However, he believed that a significant number of his fans adored him specifically for his hair and beard. In a post on his Instagram page, he kindly requested his fans not to pressure him into getting a haircut.
The ‘Last Last’ crooner offered guidance to his fans, urging them not to build their lives on conditional love, but solid foundations such as family, individuals who have consistently displayed loyalty, talent, and a strong connection with God.
