Cleric Son Kidnap in Ondo, Gunmen demand N10m ransom

Venerable Olu Obanle, has reportedly been kidnapped along Ifon-Okeluse Road in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state on Saturday.

According to report, the victims were traveling along the road when the hoodlums approach and dragged them into the bush to an unknown destination.

The source said, “ Venerable Olu Obanla and his son were kidnapped on Saturday on their way to Okeluse in Ondo state. 

After the abduction, the bandits contacted the family and demanded a sum of N10 million for the release of the victims but the family were unable to raise the amount , they could only gather N1million which was rejected by the abductors.

When the state Police Public Relations Officers was contacted,  Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident and said efforts were ongoing by the detectives of the command to rescue the victims. The PPRO confirmed that it happened also said “the anti-kidnapping section is working tirelessly to ensure the victims are released unharmed.”
