Popular Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha aka Basket Mouth has tendered an open apology to colleague AY Makun and others in the industry.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, Basket Mouth deeply apologizes to AY for everything he has done to him and his career, knowingly or unknowingly that has affected him.
He also apologized to anyone he may have offended in the entertainment industry, calling for peace among them all.
He finally added that his apology was because of his upcoming show next month and that he wants his tickets to sell.
“Now to all the people in the industry that I have offended over time knowingly or unknowingly, I say this to you from the bottom of my heart, I am genuinely sorry. Please forgive me.
To the people that have accused me of doing things, that affected their career in one way or the other, I am not going to accept or deny these allegations because God knows the truth. But regardless please forgive me, I beg you from the bottom of my heart.
To my guy, AY I don’t know if my apology is still valid, but if it is please forgive me for whatever I have done or said in the past that has affected you in any way. And I want you to know that I have forgiven you for whatever you did or said. I just want us to live in peace and harmony. For those that feel this apology video is because I have a show that’s coming up on the 26th of November, you are absolutely correct. I am trying to sell tickets for my show but I am also sorry for everything that I have done”.
Basket Mouth and AY have had a long-time beef in the entertainment industry and recently AY opened up in an interview about the issue, stating that it originated from a N 30,000 debt and expressed his sadness over it.
We hope the two top comedians will finely squash their beef with this apology.
