Community and family members are  engaged in a dispute over the body of Junior Pope

After the unexpected death of the popular Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, his family and the local community where he passed away are currently engaged in a dispute over his body.

Based on reports, certain individuals in the community are adamant that the actor should be laid to rest in the river as they believe it is crucial for the welfare of his children and the community. Failure to do so could result in severe spiritual consequences and significant repercussions. The community even went to the extent of demanding the actor’s body from the doctor, who declined and kept him in a secluded room.

However, the actor’s family disagreed with this idea and refused to surrender his body.

Wakadaily discovered that there is another group of individuals suggesting that the family should transport the body to a particular shrine before 2 AM. They believe that a specific herbalist, who has control over the river, will be able to revive the deceased. Emeka Rollas, the president of AGN, along with some Nollywood actors, are currently advocating for the body to be taken to the shrine.

It is no longer a news that Nollywood suffered another tragic loss as one of its cherished actors, Junior Pope, passed away.

The skilled actor reportedly drowned while traveling back from a movie shoot with his colleagues in a boat, which capsized in Anam River in Anambra State.

Prior to his untimely demise, the actor had posted a video of himself on a boat, fervently praying for a safe journey to his destination. This unfortunate incident occurred on April 10th, during his return from the movie location.

Several hours later, news emerged that the actor was still alive and had been transported to the Water Shrine for purification before being transferred to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite fighting for his life for hours, he eventually succumbed.

Various celebrities, including Lizzy Gold, Regina Chukwu, Susan Peters, Foluke Daramola, Mofe Duncan, Mike Ezurounye, Uche Ogbodo, Yvonne Jegede, Doris Ogala, and others, expressed their grief on their Instagram pages.
