Nigerian entrepreneur and well-known bartender, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, is feeling joyful after being released from the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

According to Wakadaily report, Chief Priest was charged by the EFCC for damaging the Nigerian currency, among other offenses.

The commission filed three charges against him for spraying and tampering with the naira at a social event, which goes against the Central Bank Act of 2007.

Pascal appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He was grant bail of N10 million. After his release, Cubana Chief Priest expressed his gratitude to those who had reached out to him, stating that their messages and love had humbled him.He also boasted about his fame and claimed that money is abundant for him.

Celebrities like Davido, Mercy Eke, IK Ogbonna, Isreal DMW, and others left messages for him in the comments section.

To celebrate his freedom, Cubana Chief Priest was seen partying with businessman Ifeanyi Coddi in videos he shared on his Instagram page.He stated that he was supposed to be in New York before the unfortunate incident occurred. In the videos, he can be seen joyfully dancing to live band music.

Cubana has had previous encounters with the EFCC before. In 2022, he was apprehended for offenses involving money laundering and tax evasion.

He was held by the authorities for several days, including his birthday. Nevertheless, he was eventually released on Monday, April 4th, 2022, to the delight of his supporters, admirers, acquaintances, and romantic partners.

Davido, among other celebrities, celebrated his release and referred to him as his closest companion.
