Following the passing of Wizkid’s mother, award-winning Afrobeat star, Davido has sent a condolence message to his colleague.

WAKADAILY reported on Friday evening, that Grammy-winning singer, Wizkid lost his dearest mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun.

Mrs Balogun, who is blessed with three children, Wizkid, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun, died at around 1:30 am on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The sad incident was confirmed by Wizkid’s longtime manager, Sunday Are, to the Punch, said Mrs Balogun died in the early hours of Friday.

“Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am,” Sunday Aaare said.

Many celebrities, fans and friends has taken to social media to console the singer as they sends words of encouragement to him.

Also reacting, Davido noted that sadness flies away on the wings of time, adding that he is praying for his colleague whom he described as his brother.

“Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time”, Davido wrote on his Instagram.
