Nigerian famous celebrities are celebrating after the release of popular barman, Cubana Chief Priest, from the EFCC.
Earlier today, Chief Priest was brought before the EFCC on charges of defacing the Nigerian currency, among other offenses.
According to reports from Channels Television, the EFCC filed three charges against the businessman for spraying and altering the naira at a social gathering, which goes against the regulations of the Central Bank Act of 2007.
Pascal appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos on the morning of Wednesday, April 17th, 2024. He pleaded not guilty to the charges of misusing Nigerian currency. The well-known bartender, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, was granted bail in the amount of N10 million.
After his release, Cubana Chief Priest shared a photo of himself and expressed gratitude to those who had been checking on him since his arrest. He acknowledged that their messages and love had made him feel humble. He also boasted about his fame, claiming that money is easily accessible to him.

This is not the first time that Cubana has encountered problems with the EFCC. In 2022, he was arrested for offenses related to money laundering and tax fraud.
He was held in their custody for several days, including his birthday. However, he was released on Monday, April 4th, 2022, which brought joy to his fans, followers, friends, colleagues, and partners.
The news of his release was announced by his colleague, Soso Soberekon, who posted a picture of himself and Okechukwu on his verified Instagram account, praising him for being trustworthy and proven.
Davido, among many other celebrities, celebrated his release and referred to him as his best friend.
