Dennis Otuaro takes over as presidential Amnesty boss

Dennis Otuaro, Ex, executive of the Niger Delta Development Commission, has accepted duty as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

On Monday, the technical assistant to the former interim administrator, Ita Henshaw, handed over to Otuaro, in a brief ceremony held in Abuja.

Dennis, on his welcoming speech, pledged to deliver quality service to the nation, stating that he wouldn’t betray the trust President Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, placed in him.

He further said he would leave no room for failure while advising the agency’s staff to be focused to give him the necessary cooperation in moving the office forward.

Dennis, stated that he would chasten the activities of the amnesty office to foster ease of operation of the agency.

“This assignment is for our people, for the country and humanity. We are bringing the programme closer to the people. We will not use it to pursue abstract things.

“We will streamline whatever that we know that is giving us the load to provide excuses. We must streamline some things, and we’ll work together.

“I will not disappoint my people, I will not disappoint Mr President and the National Security Adviser, who gave me this appointment. I am not here to pursue personal goals, I am begging everybody to be on the same as me,” he stated.

Wakadaily gathered that  President Tinubu approved the appointment of Otuaro as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, on Thursday.
