Nigerian entrepreneur Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) have reached an agreement to settle their case regarding allegations of Naira abuse.
In April, Chief Priest was charged by the EFCC for mutilating Naira notes and other offenses. He pleaded not guilty in court and was granted bail of N10 million.
After his release, Cubana expressed gratitude to those who supported him and boasted about his fame and wealth. Recent updates reveal that the businessman and the commission have decided to settle the case out of court.
The court will hear the details of the settlement on June 5, 2024. It is worth noting that following his release, Cubana changed his behavior and adopted a new method of throwing money around.
Wakadaily received an update on the case, revealing that the businessman and the commission had decided to resolve their dispute outside of court.
It has been reported that the court will review the details of the settlement on June 5th, 2024.
It is worth stating that after his release, Cubana had changed his ways and started using a different method of throwing money around.
The famous bartender attended a wedding ceremony and in videos that went viral, he chose not to throw money at the party. Instead, Cubana made a transfer.
In support of the commission, Cubana Chief Priest assured Nigerians that there was no need to flee when the EFCC invited them. He advised them to simply show up and cooperate with the authorities.
The businessman disclosed that the detention cell provided a bed, toilet, and bathroom, as well as meals throughout the day.
He questioned why people were running away and how long they planned to keep running, stating that the EFCC was meant for influential individuals and, for him, it was a symbol of status.
