EFCC arrests Ogun speaker Oluomo at Lagos airport 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, at the Muritala Muhammad Airport (MMIA) in Lagos State.

Oluomo was arrested on Thursday morning at about 9 am on his way out of the country, over allegations bordering on financial crimes after he had failed to honour the invitations of the anti-graft agency on different occasions.

According to the source, who pleaded anonymity, “the Speaker wasn’t arrested but was at the EFCC office on invitation, which he said, has been in public space.

Adding that he have been on the wanted list of the commission following his failure to honour EFCC invitation several times.

He and some others were accused of forging signatures and financial documents of the assembly.”
