On Sunday, the Federal Government of Nigeria sent its condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Ghana regarding the passing of His Excellency Rashid Bawa, the High Commissioner of that country to Nigeria.
Following a brief illness, Bawa allegedly passed away in Abuja on Thursday.
The late Bawa will be deeply missed, according to a statement from the Federal Government, which was signed by Francisca Omayuli, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman.” FG stated.
President Nana Akufo-Addo named Bawa High Commissioner to Nigeria in 2017.
Between 2005 to 2008, Bawa, a politician, diplomat, and New Patriotic Party member from Ghana, served as Ghana’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
As an independent, he served as a member of the Ghanaian parliament for the Akan seat from 2001 to January 2005.
