Early Life & Education

Focalistic was born on May 28, 1996, in Pretoria but he grew up in Grankuwa and relocated to Midrand then later to Pretoria.

His father passed away when he was in Grade 9. He had been nicknamed Maradona as he love to play soccer while growing up.

He obtained a degree in Political Science from the University of Pretoria in 2017.

Career

Focalistic began music professionally in 2017. He has been able to develop his passion for music with influences from the likes of T.I., MoJava, Kuli Chana, and Hugh Masekela.

He got signed to Major League Music in 2018 where he released his first single “19 Tobetsa”.

He followed up with a collaboration with Dj Maphorisa and Kabza de small on the single “Sandton”.

Pitori Maradona as fondly called has been on top of his game with hit singles like Sandton and Shoota Moghel in 2019.

He released his debut single for 2020 “Never Knows” alongside Cassper Nyovest.

He finally released his highly anticipated extended play “Quarantined Tarantino” on April 10, 2020.
