Governor Dapo Abiodun mourns Former Ogun Commissioner, Yemi Adefulu

Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, has mourned the death of the former  Commissioner of the state, the incumbent Chairman, Governing Council of Tai Solarin College of Education, now changed to Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology, Yemi Adefulu.

Yemi Adefulu who is from Ilishan Remo in Ikenne Local Government was an astute lawyer and former student leader at the University of Lagos around 1971.his demised was  announced in the early hours of Saturday, he was age 79.

The deceased they said was the youngest commissioner in the history of the state during the administration of the first civilian governor, Bisi Onabanjo, between 1979 and 1984.

He was also the first Commissioner for Forestry and was later re -positioned to the Ministry of Health.

The governor, during his condolence visit to the residence of the deceased at Shonibare Estate, Maryland, Lagos on Sunday, explained how the passage of the renowned politician as a big loss to the state and the country as a whole.

A post from the verified Facebook page of the governor on Sunday, Abiodun described Adefulu as an exemplary figure, renowned for his legal expertise and unwavering commitment to Nigeria.

“Prince Adefulu was a distinguished legal practitioner, a revered statesman, and an experienced litigator, whose recent passing has left a profound void.

“In my sincere message of condolence, I conveyed my deepest sympathies to his bereaved family, the Ilishan community, and the esteemed Governing Council of Adetona College of Education, Science, and Technology, Omu-Ijebu.

“I emphasised that Prince Yemi Adefulu, MFR, was an exemplary figure, renowned for his legal expertise and unwavering commitment to Nigeria. His remarkable contributions to his profession, community, and entire state will forever be cherished and held in high esteem.”
