Gunmen behead Imo LGA boss after collecting N6m ransom 

The abducted Sole Administrator, SOLAD, of Ideato North local government area of Imo state, Christopher Ohizu, who was kidnapped last Friday, has been beheaded.

Ohizu was killed on Sunday after his abductors received N6 million ransom. The gunmen who claimed that there will be no 2023 election in the Southeast region, published a video with the council’ boss phone on WhatsApp status.

According to the gunmen, “Hope Hope you see this man kneeling here. You know this man. The way I am killing this man is the way I am going to kill you. You think hiring soldiers will save you.

“We are not ESN, IPOB, we are a set group of people that see what is happening in the land and we are saying no. We must fight to make sure that Biafra is restored. Biafra must be restored. As far as the Eastern region is concerned no election.”

Wakadaily gathered that on Friday some unknown gunmen stormed Mr. Christopher Ohizu residents shot him on his leg, kill his two dogs, burnt his house, abduct him and two others.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the police in the state, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident and simply said “investigation is ongoing.”
