‘He found strength even on sick bed’ – Charles Inojie narrates visit to Mr Ibu

Nollywood actor Charles Inojie narrates his emotional visit to see colleague Mr Ibu whose leg was recently amputated at the hospital.

He took to his Instagram page to share his experience while visiting the ill actor with another colleague Chineyere Wilfred, at the hospital’s private ICU where Mr Ibu is been taken care of post-surgery.

The actor stated that he met with Mr Ibu’s wife, his adopted daughter Jasmine and a lady who he feels was a friend also at the hospital.

According to him, as Mr Ibu sighted them, his eyes lit up and they started conversing and playfully insulting one another. He stated that the comic actor ended up entertaining them and acting like he wasn’t in pain.

“Mr Ibu…the indomitable humorist!

I never thought I could ever be able to relate this chapter of my encounter with Mr Ibu on his sick bed. This is because I had this funny feeling that it had the potential of making light of a very dire situation as his condition presented.”

Well, the enigmatic humor monger himself, Ali Baba, has given me a soft landing to go ahead.

I walked into his private ward in the ICU in the company of Chinyere Wilfred at whose behest we made the journey to Ever Care where he is being treated.

We had just finished from a set, and she suggested that we take the opportunity to visit Ibu. With us were Jasmine, Mrs Ibu, and a woman I believe is her friend.
As soon as we stepped into the room, his eyes lit up, and he retorted”.

Many social media users have reacted to the post as they get emotional over how strong-willed the ill actor is.
