Nigerian Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo, has slammed gospel singer Mercy Chinwo for betraying the person who supported her.
Hilda shared a screenshot on her Instagram page of Mercy Chinwo’s previous tribute to her former label boss, Emzee Tee, where she expressed gratitude for his guidance and support.
Hilda suggested that people can deceive you even if you think you know them well, especially when they gain power, fame, and wealth. She further commented that anyone who turns against the person who helped them must have a cruel nature.
“You might think that you know someone until you give them the opportunity to earn power, fame, and fortune.
ALL WHO BITE THE FINGER THAT FEEDS THEM MUST HAVE BLOOD IN THEIR MEAL”.
This comes shortly after music producer Ft Doy revealed his negative experience working with a gospel singer. He explained how he once asked her for assistance when his father had a stroke, but she ignored him and said his father would be healed.
Surprisingly, Dr Roy changed his statement and clarified that he was not referring to Mercy Chinwo, but rather her former label boss, Ezekiel ThankGod, who owns EeZee Concepts. He claimed that it was Mercy who helped him when his father passed away.
In 2022, Mercy Chinwo ended her association with her music record label, EeZee Concepts, due to a disagreement with her boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod.
The gospel artist shared a cryptic message, praying for protection from deceitful individuals.
Mercy Chinwo, her music record label, and her label boss all unfollowed each other on Instagram, adding to the speculation of a breakup.
After parting ways with her label, Mercy Chinwo and her label mate, Minister GUC, also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
GUC posted a vague message about ungrateful people, which many believe was directed at Mercy Chinwo.
