Nigerian Gospel artist, Buchi Atuonwu, shared a story of how he narrowly escaped death by firing squad.
In an interview with Channels Television, the renowned singer recounted his harrowing experience and how God intervened to save him.
At a certain point in his life, he was facing execution, but he fervently prayed to God, making a promise to serve Him if his life was spared. Miraculously, God answered his prayers, and ever since then, Buchi has dedicated his life to serving God.
“At a point in my life, we were lined up for execution. It is true that the people that were to execute us, were kneeling before us, ready to fire. I called out to a God that I didn’t know that if He saves me, I will serve him. He saved me from that firing squad and I devoted my life to serving him”.
Last year, Buchi publicly advised people to ignore false information circulating on social media claiming that he had died. In a phone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu, the singer denied the rumor.
In the past, Buchi shared a story about how a young boy rescued him from Islamic extremists in Northern Nigeria.
Buchi is not the only person who has been saved by God and has chosen to devote his life to Him.
Last year, Yul Edochie shared how he was saved by God in 2019 after a terrible car accident. He revealed that he actually died after the accident, but God granted him a second chance at life.
According to Yul, God told him that this second life would be dedicated to bringing glory to Him, spreading His word, and serving humanity with love.
After his miraculous recovery, the actor made a surprising announcement about his calling to ministry.
He disclosed that he had been called to serve in the ministry a long time ago, but he didn’t feel ready until now.
Yul Edochie then launched an online church where he conducted two services before eventually shutting it down.
