Nigerian singer Brymo Olawale has once again criticized his colleague and rival, Burna Boy.
On his Instagram story, Brymo sent three messages to Burna Boy. Firstly, he advised Burna Boy to leave the pop scene, claiming that his appearance and voice are unattractive and incapable of singing. Brymo urged him to find a purpose and focus on showcasing the things he was deprived of to the world.
In his second message, Brymo asserted that he is on a god-like level, which is why Burna Boy cannot resist seeking his attention.
Lastly, Brymo questioned what Burna Boy wanted from him, offering to help him if he asked respectfully.
“Yo! Three things…1. You need to leave the pop scene. You are seriously looking almost ugly and with a voice like mine that can’t really sing to boot. Take a cause and focus. You need to give the world the things you were deprived of. 2. I am on the Deity level. Any wonder why you can’t resist the yearning for my attention. Not even your international renown is enough to make you look past me, who does not have anything supposedly close to what you are purported to have.
What do you want?? I can help if you ask like a man and respectfully”.
Brymo recently expressed his opinion that Burna Boy does not meet his lyrical standards. He shared this view in response to Burna Boy’s freestyle diss, in which Burna Boy implied that Brymo’s career has declined. Brymo also emphasized that despite Burna Boy’s numerous awards, it does not necessarily make him superior, as winning an award does not equate to being the best.
Brymo confidently proclaimed himself as the most talented singer in Africa, believing that he surpasses everyone else in skill.
Burna Boy responded by criticizing Brymo for using a Yoruba music proverb to insult him, suggesting that people often say negative things about him because he is considered the best.
It is worth noting that Burna Boy and Brymo had a public feud in the past, with Brymo accusing Burna Boy of stealing songs and lacking originality.
Burna Boy initially remained quiet but eventually responded with a freestyle song, taking a direct dig at Brymo by claiming he has lost his relevance.
In recent news, Brymo denied claims of being arrogant and stated that he would rather go to hell than join record labels owned by Wizkid, Burna Boy, or Davido.
