Toke Makinwa, a popular media personality, entrepreneur, and actress, recently shared some uplifting words for parents who are facing difficulties.
In her latest post, she emphasized the importance of never giving up on children, using her own experience as an example.
It was previously reported that Toke Makinwa had struggled academically, but her mother always stood by her and offered support.
She said “I shared this intimate moment from the launch last night for every parent out there currently struggling with a child that is tough to raise.
For the moms and dads who have cried themselves to sleep worried about the future of that child, for all the parents who have done all they know how to but nothing seems to be working…
Hear me when I say you are only a Guardian to that child, you are only a channel that God used to bring his own agenda to existence. God has a plan for every single person he created and you cannot love your child more than God loves them.
The rejected stone will become the corner stone, be patient with them. That they are struggling today does not mean they won’t be successful tomorrow, I am a living testimony.
Speak life into them, speak positivity into them, I know it’s hard and from a place of fear you can be harsh sometimes but remember words are life.
I came from the bottom. there was a lot of uncertainty about my future and while I’m not even where I want to be, I’m a long walk from where I was and it can only get better.
My mother has cried tears of frustration but I’m happy that in her lifetime, while she’s still here, I get to celebrate her. I get to speak to her from the top and she gets her flowers right in front of the world.
To all the parents out there, my win is your WIN. I did a thing, I won’t stop till black brands take over all the white spaces around the world. It all starts from home.
Thank you Lagos, I am so humbled by the love. Last night was an intimate gathering but for my lovers out there, we are doing an open one where you all can smell and experience the fragrances. love you all.”
