Nollywood Star Chacha Eke Faani has finally made amends with her mother, Barrister Mrs Elizabeth Eke, after a year of sharing her mental struggles with her.
On her Instagram page, Chacha posted a lengthy message celebrating Mother’s Day, accompanied by several photos of her and her mother throughout the years.
In her caption, Chacha referred to her mother as beautiful and described her as the strong woman who gave birth to her.
Chacha expressed her gratitude to God for the return of her memories and the reconnection with her daughter.
She also acknowledged the pain she would feel if any of her three daughters were to forget her.
Austin Faani’s wife used her own mother as an example to pray for individuals who are experiencing mental and spiritual imprisonment.
“This beautiful woman I’m holding onto in these photos is the warrior that birthed me. I mean, she is MY BIOLOGICAL MOTHER 😍
As she marks her birthday today, I’m grateful to God that the chemical reaction that displaced her identity in my memory reoccurred, and she regained her daughter.
I have 3 daughters, and I cannot imagine the untold trauma of being forgotten by any of them.
Using my mom as a point of reference, I pray that there be a physical & psychological release on anyone suffering any form of mental & spiritual captivity.

Queeneth Hilbert commented, “Aw, beautiful mummy”.
Ken Erics commented, “Happy birthday Mummy”.
Rachael Okonkwo commented, “Happy birthday to our beautiful mummy.”
Wakadaily reported in June 2023 that Chacha Eke shared how her mental health struggles affected her relationship with her mother.
As she grew older, she developed a strong dislike and resentment towards her mother.
This was partly due to the misinformation she received from various religious figures regarding her manic episodes.
She even went as far as wishing her mother’s death until she realized that her negative thoughts and beliefs were causing her to favor certain things and people.
In 2022, Chacha opened up about her mental health journey and revealed that she believed she inherited her “craziness” from her mother, and that there was a possibility of passing it on to her own daughter.
She also shared that she was still dealing with the emotional trauma of losing a baby 18 years ago.
