Eniola Ajao made an appeal to Nigerians, urging them to lend their support to her latest venture.
The famous actress, who caused a lot of controversy by showcasing her movie and presenting the Best Dressed Female award to crossdresser Bobrisky, is now experiencing the adverse effects it has had on her reputation and image.
Speaking on a live session on TikTok, Eniola earnestly implored Nigerians to support and watch her movie. She expressed her desire to avoid falling into debt, explaining that she currently possessed nothing and had even resorted to selling her own properties in order to fund the project.
Eniola acknowledged that she typically doesn’t seek attention or engage in attention-grabbing actions. However, due to the need to promote her film, she resorted to using Bobrisky as a means to create a buzz.
“Tell everybody to go out for me, don’t let me be in debt, I don’t have anything. All I had was what I put into this project. Please support me in the name of God, I don’t come out to do clout or stunt. It’s because of this film, I was thinking of how I will sell the film, so I used Bobrisky. I don’t want to dwell too much on that, I plead with Nigerians in the name of God, help me go out. This is a film that the whole industry came out to watch and they gave good reviews. It’s a film that I can be boastful about and walk with my heads up”.
According to Wakadaily report, the actress faced significant criticism when she announced Bobrisky, a Nigerian crossdresser, as the most stylishly dressed woman at her film premiere.
In the recent interview with Arise News TV, Eniola openly acknowledged that selecting Bobrisky as the winner was a purposeful move, driven by the desire to create a buzz and market her movie effectively. Eniola recognized Bobrisky’s controversial persona and deliberately chose to award him the title of Best Dressed Female, knowing it would generate even more attention for her project
She observed how people were criticizing Femi Adebayo, who had no idea about her hidden intentions and was simply trying to show his support by being the host for the evening.
Making amends, Eniola Ajao announced that she would be honoring two guests, Bose Alao and another individual, for their exceptional fashion sense at her movie premiere.
In a detailed post on her Instagram page, she openly expressed her sincere apologies to the Muslim community, women, Dayo Amusa, Femi Adebayo, his wife, and Bobrisky, all of whom were impacted by the scandal. Additionally, she announced her intention to present Bose Alao and the other lady with a generous gift of one million each.
Remember that Eniola shared how she sacrificed her assets in order to make the movie happen. She openly admitted that she invested more than N200 million into the project because it holds great significance to her.
At the movie premiere, a young man eloquently shared with the attendees the immense dedication and selflessness displayed by Eniola Ajao throughout the entire project.
In the video, the man stated that the actress went to great lengths to make sure the project became a reality by selling various assets such as land, cars, and gold. He mentioned that Ajao reached a point of discouragement where she contemplated giving up, despite having sold numerous items.
