Afrobeats award-winning singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has finally broken his silence after his colleague called him out.
Recall that Oyindamola Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane alleged that Davido refused to pay him after their hit collaboration on his song titled, ‘Pere.’
Dammy pleaded with the singer to pay him his debt at least for the sake of his daughter, whose school fees need to be paid.
Responding to the call out, David slammed Dammy for being ungrateful, as he recounted how he housed and feed him in Atlanta when he was homeless.
Davido adddd that he never received compensation for the three verses he contributed to Dammy Krane’s song nine years ago.
Taking to the microblogging site, the ‘Assurance’ crooner shared three of the songs he featured Dammy.
With the caption: “I never got paid for that. Also, my 3 verses I’ve gifted you all your dead career. Oh yea plus my royalties, we charge now so that’s about $150k x3 a verse, also house rent and food when u stayed in my house in Atlanta when you were homeless”.
In another post on his X page, Davido noted that he has learned his lesson while quoting that, “Street no get money”
“The level of ungratefulness is alarming. Lesson learned”.
