The ex-governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, is currently evading authorities and has been declared wanted by the EFCC.
Very Dark Man claims to have information about the ex-governor’s current whereabouts.
Very Dark Man recently released a video where he began by stating that the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) denies knowledge of Yahaya Bello’s whereabouts, despite his alleged embezzlement of billions of Naira. He further stated that while they struggle to locate Yahaya Bello, they have no trouble apprehending Yahoo boys who steal small amounts like $50.
Very Dark Man expressed his astonishment at the fact that the EFCC can easily track down internet fraudsters, known as Yahoo boys, but are struggling to locate Yahaya Bello, who has embezzled a significant amount of money from the country.
He further stated that the money stolen by Yahaya Bello could have been used to improve the conditions in Kogi State, which is currently one of the poorest states in Nigeria.
Additionally, the Very Dark Man addressed Nigerians and warned them that those who are hoping for Yahaya Bello to be apprehended will be disappointed. This is because he can easily evade the law by paying a bail fee as low as fifty million Naira.
He stated that a similar situation occurred with the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefeile, who was accused of stealing a large sum of money in both dollars and Naira. Very Dark Man said that the former Governor was released on bail after paying a fine of fifty-million Naira.
The controversial activist further explained that being granted bail does not signify the end of a case, but due to the weak justice system in Nigeria, it might as well be.
To illustrate the comparison between Nigeria’s justice system and another country, Very Dark Man provided an example of a politician in China who was executed for stealing over forty million dollars.
Very Dark Man also addressed the issue of the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) once again, stating that they had surrounded his house in Abuja and warned that they would face military forces if they attempted to arrest him. He interpreted this as the EFCC knowing the whereabouts of Yahaya Bello and being afraid of a confrontation with the military.
Regarding youth in leadership, Very Dark Man expressed his initial happiness when Yahaya Bello was elected as Governor, but ultimately felt disappointed as Bello failed to fulfill his duties and left Kogi State in extreme poverty.
He also statedthat Nigerian youth are not prepared to lead based on his observations of comment sections where young people express eagerness to enter government solely for the purpose of stealing money and hiding it more effectively.
