‘I pray to continue to be a force’ – Funke Akindele

Nollywood star Funke Ayotunde Akindele has discussed her early experiences and expressed her gratitude through prayer.

Funke Akindele responded to a tweet about the challenges of pursuing one’s goals alone.

The actress shared that her own journey was not smooth, recalling the emotional and physical strain she endured while working tirelessly to reach her current position.

She prayed to God for additional strength, wisdom, and knowledge to maintain her influential status.

She said, “Hmmm wasn’t easy!!! The physical and emotional stress!!! I worked like a machine!! All I can do now is to look back and thank God. I pray for more strength, wisdom and knowledge to continue to be a force to reckon with. Amen.”

Funke Akindele is a highly influential figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

She made history by being the first Nollywood film to earn over one billion naira in a short period of time.

Her movies, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga, have been the highest grossing Nollywood films to date.

Funke Akindele has also faced criticism from trolls but she refuses to let their opinions define her.

She considers herself an underdog in the industry and continues to push boundaries in Nigerian cinema.

She encourages her readers to never give up on their dreams and emphasizes that her success is not measured by awards, but by the impact her stories have on people’s lives.
