Nigerian popular comedian, Ayodeji Maku aka AY says he won’t list himself to be among the 20th funniest comedians in the industry if given the opportunity to do so.

AY made this revelation while talking on the Teju Babyface podcast, “King of Talk”, stating that there is room for improvement always.

“One thing I also tell people, if I am left to count the funniest guys in the industry if you give me the opportunity to name up to twenty, I won’t put AY, I won’t put myself.”

Going further, AY and the host of the show chatted about how his career began and how far it has come along, and how he has impacted people with comedy, not leaving out the backlash from critics.

“You know, sometimes you just read the blogs and you go through comments, and people say, ‘I don’t find this guy funny'”, AY said.

And the host joined in and said,” I always wonder, when you read these things, do you feel like I feel? Like, when people write these things, do they not know that we have feelings?”

AY responded by saying, criticism is part of life and he takes been criticize as room for improvement, pointing out that even celebrities have things that they don’t like but can’t just come out online to say it because of their status.
