Netizens react to the owner of Oja Piano sound, Igwe Credo, calling out singer KCee and his brother E Money for not receiving compensation for his sound.
Igwe Credo is the owner of the Oja Piano Sound that KCee had used in his viral music.
In a recent interview, making rounds, Igwe Credo has disclosed his grievances for not getting enough compensation from Kcee for his sound.
He stated that he got only N500,000 from KCee and also noted that he and his team had to sort out their accommodation and feeding while staying at a hotel in Lagos, and were given only N200,000 by KCee manager for transportation back with the promise that they would receive more later, but never got any money.
He further revealed that KCee had promised to hand down some of his old clothes to them but he never did as well.
However he stated that his primarily request to KCee was not financial gain. He expressed a desire for publicity and fame, hoping that KCee would help him gain exposure and recognition so that he could create and promote his music.
But he didn’t get that in return as KCee requested he paid the bloggers by himself to gain the exposure he needed and he didn’t have the financial capability for that.
Many netizens have reacted to this revelation as they slam Igwe Credo for having an entitlement character.
deejaytoski: “Entitlement seems to be the issue here. So, he should pay you 100 million or what? He gave them a platform, and they should use it”
dr.kparao: “Oga, 500k in total isn’t enough for you? What’s all this fuss about?”
lanredanielvs: “I’m not Igbo, but I’m enjoying the way he was infusing Igbo in his discussion. May God settle all of you”
king_lascurt: “My brother Harrysong is vindicated. He spoke about how they used the industry to oppress him”
bshizzle70a: “Was a CONTRACT SIGNED which clearly states what everyone will be getting from the collaboration? You can’t do this by word of mouth, promises. Why? Three words: Money. Changes. People”.
