INEC presents Certificates of return to 98 senators-elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC on Tuesday presented Certificates of Return to 98 senators-elect.

Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman presented the certificates to the winners of the just concluded senatorial elections held on Saturday February 25.

The certificates were presented at the National Collation Centre, also referred to as the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Yakubu had last week Wednesday presented the certificate of return to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Below is a list of senatorial seats won by political parties; All Progressives Congress – 57, Peoples Democratic Party – 29, Labour Party – 6, Social Democratic Party – 2,  New Nigeria Peoples Party – 2,  the Young People Party – 1, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance – 1.
