Israel seeks diplomatic sanctions against Iran

A “diplomatic Offensive” was launched by Isreal against Iran on Tuesday, which led to the calling on 32 Countries to demand sanctions against Revolutionary Guards and their projectile programme.

Iran had earlier lamented on Saturday, about the unusual direct attack on Isreal, as they retaliated using over 300 drones , cruise missile and ballistic missiles, for a deadly air strike towards the lranian consulate in Damascus, on April 1st.

The Isreal military stated that the attack only caused some minor damages, including a military base in the country’s south, he added that with the help of the United States and other allies, the 99 percent threat to the aerial would stop.

Israel Katz a foreign Minister stated that he had initiate a diplomatic offensive to oppose Iran.

“Alongside the military response to the firing of the missiles and the UAVs, I am leading a diplomatic offensive against Iran,” Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on X.

“This morning, I sent letters to 32 countries and spoke with dozens of foreign ministers and leading figures around the world, calling for sanctions to be imposed on the Iranian missile project and that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be declared a terrorist organisation”.

However, he didn’t identify which governments he wanted to impose  sanctions against the Revolutionary Guards, who were already blacklisted as a terrorist organisation by the United States and are subject to EU sanctions.

Israeli officials have promised to retaliate against Iran, which said its weekend attack was in response to the strike on the Iranian consulate that killed seven Revolutionary Guards, two of them generals.

“Iran must be stopped now – before it is too late,” Katz said on Tuesday.
