“It’s dear to my heart” – Tobi Makinde rejoices as he bags international recognition

Actor Tobi Makinde expressed his joy after his movie was selected for the 8th edition of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival before its release.

He has featured in so many movies roles like”Jenifa’s Diary,” “Omo Ghetto and some more.

Tobi Makinde shared the poster of his upcoming film on Instagram, announcing its selection for the prestigious Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.

Overjoyed, he thanked God and expressed his excitement, revealing that the movie holds a special place in his heart as it tells a story that resonates deeply with his own experiences and identity. He is thrilled to see his passion project gaining international recognition even before its release.

A few days ago, Tobi Makinde appreciated his mentor, Funke Akindele, when he received high recognition amongst Nollywood stars.

Tobi Makinde, a rising star in Nollywood, was recently recognized as one of the most talented and hardworking actors to watch in 2024 by Top Charts Africa. He expressed gratitude to the writer for sharing his story and to Funke Akindele for providing him with a platform to showcase his skills.

Despite rumors of a rift between them, Makinde praised Funke Akindele for her kindness, guidance, and support, crediting her with playing a significant role in his success. He denied allegations that Funke Akindele mistreats her colleagues, sharing his personal experience of her warmth and generosity, which he will always cherish.
