Don Jazzy a Nigerian singer and record label owner, shared on Instagram reminding Nigerian who is the master when it comes to music production.
Don Jazzy stated in the first slide of his post: “It’s like you guys have forgotten I’m a master producer o. Let me remind you a bit”
Following his statement, which served as a reminder to Nigerians of his expertise in music production, he presented the songs he had previously produced.
He first shared the song ‘Why me’ by D’banj, who happened to be a former member of Mo’Hits records, now known as MAVIN records, before they had a disagreement and later reconciled after some years.
D’Banj’s song ‘Oliver Twist’ ranked second on the list. It gained popularity upon its release, largely attributed to the appearance of Kanye West in the music video, sparking numerous conspiracy theories.
The third song played was ‘The Kick’ by Wande Coal, who used to be a part of the Mo’Hits records, which is now known as MAVIN records. Wande Coal has since become one of the most accomplished singers of his generation.
This fourth song brings back a lot of memories, as it was extremely popular in the mid-2000s. The specific song we’re referring to is ‘Whine am well’ by Ikechuckwu, and it was a huge success when it came out, often played in clubs.
The fifth song on the list is called ‘Godwin’ and it is performed by Korede Bello, who is currently signed with MAVIN records. This particular song gained popularity, to the extent that a church in Nigeria invited Korede Bello to perform at one of their events. This invitation sparked a significant amount of discussion and debate online.
Finally, we have a surprising revelation, and the track being referred to is ‘Lift off’ by Jay Z, Kanye West, and Beyoncé. This particular song serves as a testament to the extensive reach of Don Jazzy’s impact on the music scene.
