Ivan Lewis Greening (born January 7, 1980) professionally known as Ivan Moody is a creative American singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch.
Prior to joining the band FFDP, his works have been known with other numerous bands like Ghost Machine and Motograter where he was identified by the moniker “Ghost”.

Early Life & Education
Ivan Moody was born on January 7, 1980, in Denver, Colorado, United States.
He grew up in many smaller cities like Castle Rock, Wheat Bridge, Arvada, and Lakewood and also spent some time with his grandmother in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
He had adopted his mother’s maiden name “Moody” which he used as his stage name.

Career
Moody developed a passion for music at the very early stage of his life and began singing in bands at the age of 16.
He relocated to Los Angeles in 2001 where he became part of his very first band, Toiz.
He later became part of the band Motograter which came through with their self-titled debut studio album in June 2004. The band came to prominence playing the second stage at Ozzfest 2003 while also touring with other bands like Marilyn Mason, Mushroomhead, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, and Slipknot.
The Motograter band was away for some time in 2005 only to come back with a brief reunion show in 2006 at the Delicious Box festival.
Moody composed songs with some of his family members and old roommates such as; Bill Stonebraker (guitar), Jim “Dugan” Demongey (drums), and Ryan Morrow (bass) as they called themselves Black Blood Orchestra.
He also became part of the heavy metal band, Five Finger Death Punch (FFDP) while his side project Ghost Machine also came through with their debut self-titled album in July 2005. They followed up with a second album titled “Hypersensitive” in November 2006.
The band Five Finger Death Punch released their debut album, The Way of the Fist in 2007 with production credit from guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer. They followed up with a second album “War is the Answer” in 2009.
As an actor, Moody made an appearance in the horror film Bled, in 2009 and also showed up alongside Shawn Crahan in the short horror musical film, The Devil’s Carnival in 2012.
