The British singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran has described Afrobeats singer, Burna Boy as the heaviest weed smoker he has ever come across.
Ed Sheeran recounted how his studio was puffed with smoke during his collaboration with the Nigerian star – For My Hand feat. Ed Sheeran, STORMZY – OWN IT (feat. ED SHEERAN & BURNA BOY).
The ‘Perfect’ crooner in an interview on the ‘Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend’ Podcast, compared the amount of weed that Burna Boy smokes to that of popular American singer, Snoop Dogg.
He said: “There is an artist I have worked quite a lot with called Burna Boy and I would say that is the most….. I have ever seen anyone ingest weed. And I worked, as I said 10 to 5, and he came to the studio. I had a gig later that night. And it was very much like the studio door was closed and it was just smoke smoke smoke. I remember I was going to say to the gig I do not know. Same thing like I am not it, that’s the most I’ve seen anyone ingest weed.”
Speaking further he said, “I don’t really smoke at all. I was in the dressing room, and they’re just blunt after blunt. I was like, I guess at some point during the night, I have to, just to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg…
“He had like six blunts going at once and he was just like, ‘Yeah, man, this is how we do it in Nigeria.’ And I was like, ‘Wow, you’re like Fela Kuti.
“He was like, ‘Do you want some?’ and I was like, now’s the time. We were having a good conversation.
So I have a bit, and I was like, I don’t feel too bad, this is good. Then I have a bit more, and then a bit more, I just remember looking at him and being like, I can’t see right now,” he adddd.
