Jean-Charles Castelletto was born on January 26, 1995, in Clamart, France.
His father is Italian while his mother is from Cameroon. He is from both France and Cameroon by nationality.
Career
Jean-Charles Castelletto began his football career at the youth level with Bretigny Foot and later joined Auxerre in 2010.
He was promoted to Auxerre’s first team in 2013 before joining Club Brugge in 2015. He also joined Red Star on a season-long loan in July 2016.
He signed for Brest in 2017 and later moved to the French club Nantes in 2020.
Castelletto represented France at the under-17, under-18, under-19, and under-20 levels before he made his decision to play for the Cameroonian national team.
He made his debut for the Cameroonian senior team in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification with Zambia, which ended in a 2-2 draw on November 11, 2017.
He also became part of the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
He scored his first international goal in a 3-3 draw against Serbia.
