Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has slammed a famous film director and screenwriter Abiodun Jimoh, better known as Abey Jomo, for his extreme transformation demands.
Jide, who has a leading role in the movie Inspector Jero, was instructed by the director to follow a strict diet regimen.
Jide shared a screenshot of his conversation with Abey, in which he was instructed to fast until sunset, refrain from drinking until 7 PM, and eat only a slice of watermelon in the morning.
The director wanted Jide to have a gaunt appearance and a hungry look for his character.
Jide was taken aback by these strict rules and turned to Instagram to seek assistance, expressing his shock.
He wondered about the consequences of his actions and felt regretful about the restrictions he had to follow, all because he had a desire to create a film.
“Help Help Help
Because I decided to make a film, see what Abiodun Jimoh did to me. Check the slides.
WHAT HAVE I DONE TO YOU @abeyjomo”.

Last year, Jide Awobona faced his fears and expressed his happiness about it.
He shared pictures of himself in a hospital bed, celebrating his triumph over his fears, although he acknowledged that it was not an easy journey.
In other news, Awobona defended his colleague, Adanma Luke, who was facing criticism for the death of Junior Pope and others.
He emphasized that such unfortunate incidents could happen to anyone in the Nollywood industry.
He also pointed out that in the industry, refusing to comply with certain demands often leads to being labeled as difficult and unprofessional.
