JUST IN: Gunmen kill seven Plateau residents 

Over seven persons have been killed in Danda Chugwi community of Jos South local government area of Plateau State by unknown gunmen on Sunday evening.

The incident was confirmed on Monday by the National Publicity Secretary of the Betom Youth Moulders Association, Rwang Tengwong, to the newsman. He said, “Seven people have been confirmed dead at Danda chugwi community following an attack by Fulani Militias.

“The attack happened on Sunday, 31/07/2022 at around 9:00 pm.

“Others who sustain serious gun injuries have been taken to Vom Christian hospital for immediate medical attention,” Tengwong said.

The killing is coming less than 24 hours after 18 other persons lost their lives during a clash between bandits and members of a vigilante group in Pinau community of Wase local government area of the State on Saturday.

Effort to speak to the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alago, was abortive.
