JUST IN: NLC takes protest to National Assembly

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday began a two-day nationwide protest against the failure of the Federal Government to resolve the strike, on Wednesday they took a protest to the national assembly amid heavy security.

The protesters marched from Unity Fountain in the federal capital territory (FCT) to the parliament.

Members of the Congress stormed the national assembly with placards and several inscriptions such as “Medical doctors stand with ASUU strike, “ASUU-NLC better future, “Attention to the problem of poor funding of State Universities, “Give Nigeria a living wage, not fuel hike, “Political elite bring back your children to Nigeria universities enough of your hypocrisy,” etc.
