Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Debiri-Erewa, has confirmed the released of Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, famously known as Kizz Daniel, from the police custody in Tanzania.
In a video that went viral on social media on Monday, showed the moment Tanzania police arrested the Bugu ‘crooner’ following alleged failure to perform, which angered some fans and led to damaging part of the concert arena.
“The singer was seen in a viral video wearing a hooded jacket, black jeans and being escorted by uniformed men to the back of a pickup truck outside the hotel.
“Angry voices could be heard in the background of the videos saying, “Kizz Daniel you will go in for it, you have caused damage in this country.”
Debiri-Erewa tweeted on his page that “He has just been released but his lawyers will report to the station tomorrow. He should be home anytime soon”.
