Nigerian actress Kate Amaka Henshaw has caused a stir on the internet with her response to the government’s decision to reinstate the old national anthem.

It is well-known that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently passed a law officially reinstating the old anthem, rendering the new one obsolete.

This decision by the government has sparked a combination of anger and confusion among Nigerians, who question the reasoning behind it, especially considering the current hardships and situation in the country.

In response to this situation, Kate Henshaw slammed the government for considering the old anthem during a period of intense suffering and lack of effective governance.

The actress expressed her disappointment that the anthem was created during the colonial era, suggesting that the government is attempting to instill patriotism in the citizens.

Kate Henshaw initiated a discussion among her followers on the X platform.

She said, “In the midst of excoriating hardship & lack of good governance on every level but not to worry going back to a colonial anthem will be a soothing balm and inject patriotism back into our veins, a much needed drug.

The labours of our heroes past o to lo.”

Wakadaily remembers that Kate Henshaw requested the prayers of her friend and fans when she announced the passing of her beloved mother.

On Instagram, Kate Henshaw shared the news with her followers, informing them that her mother passed away on March 1st.

The energetic actress asked for prayers to guide her through this challenging period and also requested that her family be kept in their thoughts.
